Welcome

Become a part of the old Vanilla world. Set up your client according to our guide.

If you have any questions, read the FAQ first. In case you don’t find the answer, you can try asking on our IRC.

Most our services are to be found on the web page of the TwinStar project, under which Kronos belongs.

Account Manager

In order to play on Kronos, you need a game account created in the account manager.

Account manager also contains many useful features like the character auction or donate system. You can purchase Stars through the donate system, and for these Stars you can then buy special mounts, pets or tabards that cannot be obtained in-game.
You cannot buy any gear this way!
However, in our character auction you can spend your Stars on characters that were leveled up by Kronos players.

Forum

On our forum you can take part in numerous lively discussions, suggest improvements for the server or comment on what you don’t like.
There are also various videos from our players, guides, sections dedicated to both PVE and PVP and many others.

If you encounter a player violating server rules by misbehaving, abusing a bug etc., you can (and are obliged to) report him to the forum Blacklist.

If you want to become a part of the community you need to create a separate forum account. With this account you can also log in to our TwinHEAD database.

Armory

Kronos has its own Armory, where you can search for characters, guilds and various statistics like Honor ranking.

The armory contains a talent calculator.

TwinHead

It’s our gaming database, where you can find information concerning NPCs, quests, zones etc. It includes plenty of features: Bosskills, detailed statistics from every instance encounter, changelog and much more.

It is also a place where you are supposed to report bugs you find in-game (and only them!) – malfunctioning quests, NPCs, items, spells etc.

Game Changer

Dear Community,

One of our constant internal philosophies has always been continuous improvement, and thanks to our time spent developing Kronos, we have a lot of history at our disposal to look back upon. We have years of both positive and negative feedback that we have spent a lot of time sifting through, and more importantly evaluating.

One of the long-standing criticisms that we’ve heard from some players time and time again has been how character auctions and cross-faction mounts negatively impact their experience with Kronos. Twinstar has been hosting projects for ten years, and these systems have been in place for a majority of this time. These systems have played a pivotal role in keeping Twinstar’s servers running. After numerous months of discussions, negotiations, and debate with Twinstar, we’re absolutely thrilled to announce that upon launch, Kronos III will not have any sort of character auction, trade, or shop system!

Our focus has always been to offer the best experience possible to players. While we understood the need for the shop & auctions, many of us staff and players have believed that the project could provide a better overall experience without it. As such, we hope that this change will only add to our community’s experience.

This is a game changer! With big change though, comes a big question: How will Kronos be supported? With no more auctions or store, we’re taking a giant leap of faith in you, our community. We will need to rely on community donations to help support and keep the project up more than ever. For this change to work, we need your help. We have Twinstar on board, and they’re committed to going without the auction & store for the entirety of Kronos III, and if all goes well then Kronos TBC very well could follow suit. However, to reach such achievements, we can’t do it alone. Other projects have shown you that without services to help upkeep costs, they’ve had to find ways (often at the expense of their community) to help fund their projects, many times doing so through deception and secrecy. This is not something that we agree with nor will ever resort to. Twinstar is on board with these improvements, but if this change is not embraced & supported by the community and donations are/become sparse, then there is a possibility that one or some of these systems could be re-enabled to help cover the operational costs in the future.

Many of us staff have spent a very very long time fighting to get this change to happen, long before the thoughts of Kronos III or even KTBC were even conceived. We want to see this change stay permanently, but the choice is not up to us. We fought hard to get the door open, now it’s up to all of us to ensure that it never gets shut again.

We won’t bombard players with constant donation reminders, but from time to time our teams will remind players how important they are to the success of Kronos. Donations are accepted in many forms of payment, and we’ll provide more on this as we get closer to launch.

For current Kronos players, this change won’t affect you as we’ve decided to keep the current system in place. For those looking forward and planning on joining us on Kronos III, we hope you’re as excited for this change as we are. We hope that together we can show the private server community that strong communities can help make a difference.

That’s it for today’s game changer announcement. We’ll be back next time with an update and clarification on PvP! Until then, safe travels.
