Welcome

Become a part of the old Vanilla world. Set up your client according to our guide.

If you have any questions, read the FAQ first. In case you don’t find the answer, you can try asking on our IRC.

Most our services are to be found on the web page of the TwinStar project, under which Kronos belongs.

Account Manager

In order to play on Kronos, you need a game account created in the account manager.

Account manager also contains many useful features like the character auction or donate system. You can purchase Stars through the donate system, and for these Stars you can then buy special mounts, pets or tabards that cannot be obtained in-game.
You cannot buy any gear this way!
However, in our character auction you can spend your Stars on characters that were leveled up by Kronos players.

Forum

On our forum you can take part in numerous lively discussions, suggest improvements for the server or comment on what you don’t like.
There are also various videos from our players, guides, sections dedicated to both PVE and PVP and many others.

If you encounter a player violating server rules by misbehaving, abusing a bug etc., you can (and are obliged to) report him to the forum Blacklist.

If you want to become a part of the community you need to create a separate forum account. With this account you can also log in to our TwinHEAD database.

Armory

Kronos has its own Armory, where you can search for characters, guilds and various statistics like Honor ranking.

The armory contains a talent calculator.

TwinHead

It’s our gaming database, where you can find information concerning NPCs, quests, zones etc. It includes plenty of features: Bosskills, detailed statistics from every instance encounter, changelog and much more.

It is also a place where you are supposed to report bugs you find in-game (and only them!) – malfunctioning quests, NPCs, items, spells etc.

Maintenance

May 22, 2016 @ 21:33

The hardware is on its way and needs to go through numerous countries until it arrives at our provider, at which point it will need to be configured and installed. This process is expected to take 1.5-2 weeks total, of course we will give you an update as soon as we have a more defined time. The great news is that once this hardware arrives, is configured and installed, the server will go back to being as smooth as it was prior to the attacks. However, in the short term, we have a plan to try and help until this hardware arrives. We are using a lot of balancing tools which should hopefully help make your gameplay as smooth as possible.

We’ve discovered the root cause of the network issues and we’re pleased to announce that the network hardware we’re running on is currently undergoing maintenance and is in the process of being heavily upgraded. The realms will remain online during this time.

We do not currently have an ETA and would like to reserve this for a more specific announcement when the closing date is more concrete.

Both Kronos I & II should be stable now, but at the cost of increased latency. While this is a temporary solution, we are still working on improving our network layer. Stay tuned for future updates which will tell you more about our progress in solving this issue.

Thank you all for your continuing trust in us!

May 16, 2016 @ 20:48:

Maintenance is over. Web services are up and currently we are fine tuning both Kronos I & II. Estimated launch between 10:00AM – 2:00PM CEST 17th May.

Dear Community,

As announced yesterday, we expected to be migrating to our new service provider within the next 24 hours. We now expect this process to begin at 22:00 CEST. This will result in complete loss of access to all Twinstar services, including websites and forums. We expect this outage to last approximately 2 hours but the delay could be longer, as there are many facets to the transfer. This will result in both Kronos I and Kronos II returning to their playable state some time in the early hours of the morning (CEST).

Our new provider is positioned to offer us much better protection from the kind of attacks that brought Kronos to its knees over the course of the last month, without hampering our efforts to provide you with a fantastic vanilla experience.

There will be no announcement as to when the game servers will be available again, to ensure as much stability as possible and avoid the clogging of our login servers upon “relaunch”.

See you on the other side.
